Anyways, WP, assuming you have XP on one of the machines,

Start->Programs->Accessories->Accessibility->On-Screen Keyboard

Hard to believe someone with your intelligence couldn't have figured something like that out yourself. All the more fishy...

The XP machine wasn't the one that was having trouble typing. It was the one having trouble connecting to the net.

I appreciate your assistance even though it doesn't help me much ... but on the other hand there's nothing very fishy about my recent troubles. One can certainly be intelligent and very ignorant at the same time.

I've been working with computers for decades but what I know about them has nothing whatsoever to do with Windows. I only use it because I have to -- for the moment. And I hope my next project allows me to use a real OS. But that's another story.

I hope to get back to more important subjects soon.
