On A Personal Note: A Sudden and Unexpected Turn

My physical condition, which has precluded my blogging for most of the past year, has taken a sudden and unexpected turn -- for the better!

I am still struggling with pain (and painkillers!) and still having problems with mobility and strength, but these aspects of my daily grind are much improved recently.

I expect to be able to blog again, if only on a very limited basis.

None too soon, I might add.

This is truly great news, Winter - and not just because I've missed your posts, which of course I have. I'm so glad you're feeling better, and hope you continue the trend. I'm sure I speak for us all when I say we've missed you!

Happy trails, Bob

I had almost believed that perhaps we had heard the last of WP, not knowing of the circumstances. Great news and look forward to reading more !

Many thanks for all the kind words on this thread. I appreciate them very much.

My blog-ability continues to be limited but I can now do a bit of "discretionary typing", and I have missed this place a ton (or maybe even a tonne) so it's good to be back in circulation.

I try to keep the personal notes to a minimum, figuring that if you wanted to read about the details of somebody's life, you'd be reading diary blogs or celebrity gossip or something similarly relevant. So I probably won't say much more (if anything) about personal things, from now on ...

... until next time, of course! Wink

'ditto' to all of the

'ditto' to all of the above.
So glad you are feeling better wp. Being ill and being in pain is the pitts (sadly said witha viuce of experience).

Good on you, WP

Great to hear you are improving.

Just found this blog . . .

. . . via Chris Floyd and have been enjoying reading many of your posts and I agree with your view of the USA currently.

Interestingly enough, I myself went through horrendous upper back pain this fall that lasted several months and I had to stop blogging. Then I had a recurrence of this pain for about a week a month ago. Pinched nerve pain is what they tell me. In the first occurrence my "C6-C7" vertebrae were pinching the nerves which caused horrible shoulder pain that ran down into my finger tips of my left arm - making it all but useless and then over compensation using my right arm for everything caused that arm and shoulder to go sore as well! I was basically confined to my apartment. Miserable sort of pain as well- that pain killers did little for.

It was literally the worst pain I have ever had in my life and I would not wish it on anyone.

Good blog. Thanks.
