WELCOME!

Hello, and welcome to the new winter palace. It's nice to see so many new people here, and it's nice to see familiar names as well.

This is meant to be OUR site, not just mine. It's a good place to host comments related to my blog, but it's intended as more than that; it's for ALL of us and (within reason) we can all use it however we like.

Once you register here, you can post new blogs, start new threads in the forum, start a poll, or comment on any thread that's already going.

If you have a blog of your own and you have something there that you want to bring to our attention, by all means do so. Give us a few paragraphs and a link, and if anyone accuses you of "link-whoring", I'll slap 'em! (in a polite, virtual way of course).

Or if you find yourself reading something really good (or really bad) and you want to share it with a few like-minded cranky dissidents, feel free: that's what this site is for.

Thanks again to NJT for setting up this site for us, and best wishes to all my online friends, as always.

new 911 steel theory

Hi WP

Someone sent me a link to this and I thought of you
Apparently steel doesn't behave the way we all thought it did and all previous "perfectlt normal" mathmatical analysis' are wrong

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7607473.stm

Since you seem good at finding people who can actually validate this sort of stuff I thought I'd send it to you

Yeah its going to be another fight but it should at least be fun watching all the people who told us Dr Seffen was spot on explain why he was wrong and this is right!

On the one hand, steel does

On the one hand, steel does lose strength at elevated temperatures.
On the other hand, the discussion of the twin towers within the article seems entirely unrelated to the point of the article. What is this BS, are they just reinforcing the meme?
If the steel was so soft from the high temperatures, as the article describes, why did it fail like a very brittle material? Why did it fail so suddenly, and uniformly, rather than sagging slowly at the weakened soft points to achieve a deformed but still stable state?
I think these types of questions NIST would not even acknowledge and instead they would point to 1000 sheets of baloney and tell one to read it understand it then we can have a discussion.

Shoes for Gaza

Watching the news this morning and feelling very powerless as, 59 year old woman, unable to offer anything but my empathy towards the people of Gaza.

The cruelty and disproportionality of Israel with the tacit approval of the US is sickening and gets close enough to a new Holocaust. Gazans caged in like rats in a trap being attacked from the sky with F16s and from the sea and the ground with heavy artillery, all the while with Israel trying to convince the world they are doing it in a humanitarian way and only targetting Hamas!

I have hung a large shoe on a green ribbon outside of my 3rd floor apartment on a main street in Stockholm. I hope anyone seeing it will understand the meaning and join in by doing the same, voicing their silent protest against what is happening to the people of Gaza.

I would like to see shoes on green ribbons hanging out of apartments all over the world as a protest against what is happening to Gazans and elsewhere, and that is largely being ignored by most governments whose responses have been no more than a tut,tut to Israel and a deferential bow towards the US.

Glad to see you got your own private blog

Hello WP! It has been a while, at least a year if not longer since I was in touch with you. Oh, well, that is the way it is, we get busy and drift away. But your blog is on my blog list and also on my recommended websites list.

I am not sure if this is the place to drop a link. It is one of my favorite items over the years; it is the number one fetched item on my blog. But it had always been in pdf format. I had wanted to re-create it in html format. It was quite tasking, took me at least 25 hours to convert. I posted it on my blog. The original pdf document was 145 pages long, but once transformed into html, it shrunk to about 85 pages, (double space.) This is certainly a must read document. The author is highly credible and people do need to spend some time reading it carefully. Years ago I stumbled upon it and I could not believe my luck. I read it carefully and I looked for any other documents written by Edwin M Wright. There were a few, all in pdf format and I saved them all. Two years later when I begun blogging I searched the Internet for them, but they were nowhere to be found. I did a find on my own hard drive and I smiled to notice that I had saved them all. This most incredible document for some odd reason is not highly visible on the blogospher. I am hoping to make it more visible.

This site goes too far

While I praise your work of collecting disturbing material and bringing important points to our attention, I think you go too far in describing Finkelstein as a genuine/"emotional" Zionist. Having emotions is being human. Not having emotions is being a Zionist. There's no room here for a pejorative use of the word "emotional." If Finkelstein's emotions cloud his judgement on the Holocaust, that is only natural. His emotions also bring him to support our cause. You should welcome them, and not deride him in the way you do. I find this disgusting, and I left a couple of hysterical pissed-off comments a few days ago, which I then deleted.

on Not having emotions

I believe that Zionists have emotions, it just happens that empathy for non-jews doesn't seem to be one of them.

Thanks for posting this link. That was an excellent read. It ties in nicely with discussions we have been having here lately. I reproduced your comment under another thread as it may go unnoticed here. You can find it here.

Waterboarding, the answer to our questions.

The entire Bush administration must be water-boarded. Since the answers to the questions we seek wont come from a cave dweller, or a camel jockey. GW is too stupid to be of any use, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are the key players, and have the answers.

Tempting torture

We already have the all the answers we need. Torture is ineffective in gaining truth, in any case. This is well known even to the torturers. However, torture is very effective in convincing the torturers that they are God in the lives of the tortured. It is destructive all round, including to the torturers and the people in whose name it is practised. That's all of us.

Tempting though it may be, visiting violence upon the violent only strengthens the psychopaths' cause and their war against the rest of us. We buy into their illogic of creating peace using violence.

If the American public (who provide the personnel and support for the US military) did not believe in the effectiveness of righteous violence gained from their religious and cultural upbringings, then these wars of aggression would simply not have happened. So it is not just the psychopathic leaders that are at fault.

People such as Cheney and Rumsfeld need to be seen as sick and dangerous, for sure, and permanently isolated from the rest of humanity. But for our own psychological and spiritual well-being, they need to be treated humanely in their lifelong, non-negotiable captivity.

Nice one. Thank you

Nice one. Thank you
