The Battle In The Air Over Syria

It has been a week since I predicted that the Russian and Syrian governments would formally declare a 'No-Fly Zone' over all of Syrian territory and thus making it crystal clear that any flight that does not have the permission of the Syrian government will be declared an act of war against the Syrian people. It didn't happen. At least not in the form I predicted (and hoped for). True, al-Assad has said in interviews that over flights without consent of the Syrian government are a breach of Syria's sovereignty.

We have also had a few days ago a spokesman from the military co-ordination centre in Damascus that any NATO flights that are not co-ordinated with the Syrian/Russian coalition will be considered as a potential threat and will be countered one way or another.

A high-ranking officer within the joint operation room in Damascus (consisting of Russia, Iran, Syria and Hezbollah) said “Damascus received sets of S -300 advanced Russian missiles, ready to enter active service. Soon, Syria will announce that any country using the airspace without coordinating with Damascus will be viewed as hostile and will shoot the jet/s without warning. Those willing to fight terrorism and coordinate with the military leadership will be granted safe corridors”.

And more recently from Finian Cunningham quoting a senior Syrian officer from the same Co-ordination Centre in Damascus-

Translated from Arabic language Alrai Media (thanks to the reliable Fort Russ Russian news site), the senior Syrian officer at the operations room is quoted as saying: “Soon Syria will announce that any country using the airspace without coordinating with Damascus will be viewed as hostile and [we] will shoot the jet down without warning. Those willing to fight terrorism and coordinate with the military leadership will be granted safe corridors.”

President Putin has said similar things as has Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister. Perhaps Russia has been waiting till all their S 400 and S 300 air defence systems are in place and the air port at Sha’ayrat airport is ready to accept the extra 100 fighter jets needed to ensure complete lock-down of Syrian air space. But time is a wasting.

What has been needed (and still is) is for the presidents of Russia and Syria to jointly issue a statement that any unauthorised incursions into Syrian territory will be considered acts of war (as would happen in any other country at any other time).

Additionally, the Russian government needs to summons all the ambassadors in Moscow from the countries that make up the US coalition and inform them formally of this situation so that there is no room for misinterpretation. A transcript of this meeting then needs to be published and available on the internet otherwise the NATO powers will continue to twist the truth to gain some form of plausibility and continue to provoke a war in such a way that they can blame Russia as the aggressor.

Already, Russia and China have agreed to a nice sounding but vaguely worded UNSC resolution that, although mentions Syrian sovereignty, has wording that Britain and Germany have twisted to grant themselves authority to fly bombing missions over Syrian territory. Remember Libya. Never make a deal with a psychopath. They never have any intention of honouring it and will break it and blame you for it.

So, this should come as no surprise to many of those that have been paying attention - “International Coalition (US) bombs Syrian Arab Army positions in Deir Ezzor”. The motivation from the beginning of the Russian bombing campaign for the US and its satellite states has been to ensure their terrorists stay in place and do not flee and to then secure supply routes to them. Without secure supply routes, no army can survive.

It has been estimated that it takes 5-8 personnel to keep one front line soldier in combat. That is a huge undertaking and a massive expense. This sort of expense can only be supported by a nation state and a wealthy one at that. It then becomes obvious that ISIS can only exist with the active support and leadership from the likes of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE and then only with the permission and direction of the likes of Britain, France (and now Germany), Israel and finally the US.

So if ANY of these countries were serious about stopping ISIS, as they say they are, then all that would be necessary is to cut off funding, materiel and logistical support to them. The bankers who control the US, Britain and Israel have their hand on the tap and they need only to close it to stop ISIS dead in their tracks. But they don't. Their interests are in promoting wars and keeping them going for as long as possible.

The Afghanistan war has been going on for 13 years. Does anyone seriously think that the combined forces of NATO can't defeat a militia armed with AK47's and little else (apart from Viagra and Captagon) and no air force? You judge people not on what they say but from the results of what they do. What have they done? They have kept a war going for 13 years that could have been won in a fraction of that time. If someone keeps repeating the same behaviour, then it is clear they want the same results. So we can confidently say that the bankers that control the US want never ending war, never ending profits and ever expanding destruction. This is the ultimate nihilism.

After the US invaded Iraq in 2003, they disbanded the Iraqi military after promising the Iraqi generals that they would have a place in the new government if they didn't contest the occupation of Baghdad. The US broke that deal (as they break every deal they make) but allowed the largely Baarthist/Sunni military to empty the Iraqi armouries. Disbanding the Iraqi Army but allowing them to remain armed turned a potentially stabilising force in Iraq into a destabilising force. This was recognised at the time by many and therefore this action on the part of the US was a quite deliberate move to create the resulting death and mayhem.

Units from Mossad and the CIA disguised as Arabs then started shooting at Sunnis and Shias alike to inflame both sides against each other. At first the Shia forces were no match for the Sunnis but the US armed and trained them to battle the Sunni forces which the US/israel had deliberately created and then antagonised. Slowly the Shia forces gained control of the government and control of the situation militarily. It was starting to bring stability to the country only to be foiled once again by the US military. Petraeus' 'surge' put an end to that. But, again, the Shia's regained the upper hand only to be met with the US backed and trained forces of ISIS. The goal has been never-ending chaos and the US has been very successful at this – exhibit B, Libya.

This same never-ending chaos was fast becoming the fate of Syria, too, until 2 months ago when Russia stepped in militarily at the Syrian government's request for assistance. Quickly, the balance shifted against the NATO funded and trained terrorists threatening the end of ISIS et al and the end to the fighting and destruction in Syria. Something had to be done. The US started air dropping supplies to various terrorist groups including some Kurdish groups. Next, a supply line through Iraq to Raqqa became the next priority especially because the supply route from Turkey through Aleppo was fast being closed. Russia continued to bomb the re-supply convoys and it became clear that the terrorists would need air-cover if they were to be kept in place and supplied to continue fighting.

Hence the 'terrorist attacks' against French citizens to whip up their emotions to support France (and Germany and Britain) to bomb the terrorists. Or so they were told. As mentioned before, all that would be necessary to eradicate ISIS would be cut off their funding and armaments which the French government (and others) control. So, clearly, the French, German, British and US air forces are flying over Syria and Iraq against the stated wishes of the Iraqi and Syrian governments to protect ISIS and to hinder the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Russian Aerospace forces.

So, inevitably and entirely predictably, we now have a report of the US bombing and killing SAA forces that are closing in on the ISIS stronghold of Deir Ezzor. Also, predictably, the Turkish army has moved into Syrian territory north of Aleppo allegedly to protect its fellow Turkmen but really to protect the ISIS supply line. If the Russians bomb the Turkish army as NATO is tempting them to, then NATO will have its excuse to fight against Russia or at least have NATO countries cut off trade and diplomatic relations with Russia which will suit the international bankers just fine.

So, where to from here for the US and their acolytes (incl Turkey and ISIS)?

Flying cover for ISIS is going to become more and more untenable politically so we are going to witness yet another 'brand name change' or 're-branding'. Penny from Penny For Your Thoughts identified this process years ago and in the last year or so has written many posts detailing how various Kurdish forces have committed genocides of their own in Syria (and Iraq) and have expanded their territory under the guise of fighting ISIS. But both the Kurds and ISIS are funded ultimately by the same people and while they might squabble over some booty, largely they have to co-operate otherwise their funding and armaments will dry up. ISIS would not be able to export stolen Syrian oil if not for the co-operation of the Kurds.

The evidence is that ISIS take over an area and hand it over to the Kurds under the guise of losing to the Kurds in battle. This frees up ISIS troops to move onto other areas and not have their forces tied up securing an already conquered territory. The terrorists are a mobile force and have already moved halfway round the world from Afghanistan to Bosnia to Iraq to Libya to Syria and back to Iraq again. And the US would like to move them on to the southern and northern Caucasus in the near future. ISIS are paid mercenaries. But the Kurds are from Syria, Iraq and Turkey and are motivated to co-operate with the US/ISIS to gain territory and its resources.

All this is leading up to say that (in the press, at least) ISIS will fade and the Kurds will rise allowing the US to claim effectiveness at 'defeating' ISIS and giving them the plausible (to the ignorant) excuse of remaining in the Kurdish areas to protect the noble Kurds and allow the fighting and destruction to continue. This plan will also give the US a place at the table (and therefore influence) at the eventual peace talks involving Syria. The US will push for the break-up (Balkanisation) of Syria with many statelets which will pose no threat to continuing destabilisation from israel and also set the scene for ongoing wars and terrorism between these new states. A newly created Kurdistan in Syria would also provide a perfect place to station American troops and air force. (Indeed, the the US is already establishing an air base in eastern Syria near the Turkish border with the co-operation of the local Kurdish authorities and is reportedly flying drones out of it already.)

That's the entirely predictable plan from the US perspective, at least. Russia can defeat that plan by not allowing the US coalition to fly over Syria but they need to move fast. Already in the last week, we have had Britain and then Germany declaring they have authority to bomb Syrian territory. The US wants as many nations flying over Syria as it can manage. The more planes, the more countries involved, the greater the chance of a clash between Russian forces and one of the NATO patsy countries which the US will declare as aggression from Russia.

Russia has been recruiting, training and equipping forces from within Syria and hopefully they will be available for fighting soon. Iran is providing two squadrons of fighter bombers (serviced and supplied with armaments by Russia) to assist in breaking the terrorist forces.

Turkey has troops in northern Syria and are very vulnerable. No doubt, NATO is expecting Russia to kill them through aerial bombing hoping to construe it as a cassus belli but Russia may do something else; something 'out of the box' which they are want to do and blind-siding 'the accomplices of terror' once again.

The Russians need to make it absolutely clear, though, to everybody in the Western world that the US coalition is acting illegally and is guilty of acts of war: that they are war crimes; and that they are deliberately provoking a much larger war between Russia and Europe.

good stuff james

Just wanted you to know brian outed himself with one comment that just gave him away

Bascially it doesn't matter who is buying the oil, only who is transporting the oil- well since the buyer bears all the costs and profits of transportation it certainly does make a huge difference. The fact that Israel buys most of the smuggled oil tells us that they are subsidizing terror through their purchase and obviously that terror suits their agenda just fine- which is why they are happy to purchase the oil!

I told brian he left his last disinfo comment at my blog- I've had it with this garbage!

Also my linkie person left something interesting

It seems Turkey was willing to barter with Russia for food etc to avoid using the dollar..

http://sputniknews.com/business/20151028/1029227369/barter-russia-dollar...

From October, well before the plane was shotdown

Iran, Turkey, India, and China have suggested using the barter system in the food industry with Russia to avoid transactions in dollars, Russian agricultural watchdog aide Alexei Alekseyenko said Wednesday.

"SHARM EL-SHEIKH (Sputnik) – Alekseyenko said that Iran had offered the idea of exchanging Russian grain for milk products, fish, and meat, and Turkey had also suggested meat, milk products, fish, and incubated eggs."

Turkey is the only NATO occupied nation that was willing to participate in this trade- That tells me something!

"It comes as Russia is considering conducting transactions in national currencies with India, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran and Egypt in order to boost mutual trade and reduce dependence on the dollar"

I really hold the view that the US/NATO is working hard to stir the pot between Turkey/Russia (let's you and him fight)

US/NATO could then step in in a chivalrous fashion- I'm still of the opinion Erdogan was out of the loop on the shoot down.

James, everything you say about the Kurds/ISIS seems correct to me

"All this is leading up to say that (in the press, at least) ISIS will fade and the Kurds will rise allowing the US to claim effectiveness at 'defeating' ISIS and giving them the plausible (to the ignorant) excuse of remaining in the Kurdish areas to protect the noble Kurds and allow the fighting and destruction to continue. The US will push for the break-up (Balkanisation) of Syria with many statelets which will pose no threat to continuing destabilisation from israel and also set the scene for ongoing wars and terrorism between these new states. A newly created Kurdistan in Syria would also provide a perfect place to station American troops and air force"

I cannot disagree with that at all- In fact this seems to me to be the plan- as much as I can figure it out- At least it's been heading in that direction- Except- it looks to me that ISIS will move into Turkey- I've said that on the blog- because ISIS has said as much

the destabilization always moves along
from libya to Syria & Iraq- two fronts into Turkey, then onto Iran
