These dogs don't hunt

OK this is pretty inconsequential compared to the stuff you all have been discussing, but I wanted to mention this and I'm not sure where else to say it; I just got an Email from a website called gunalertsupdates.com, sent to an Email address that I only gave to Ron Paul...

An excerpt from the Email solicitation:
When you read what they say in their own words your blood will boil. Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Jesse Jackson, Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Henry Waxman, John Kerry and others …all exposed!

Yuck. Anyway, please consider this an open thread - what's on your mind?

Bishop Who Denied Holocaust Ousted

Don't ask holocaust questions if you want to stay a Catholic:

Extraordinary

"News of Bishop Williamson’s dismissal from the Argentine seminary came after the pope and Chancellor Merkel had a “cordial and constructive” phone conversation, spokesmen for both said Sunday.
A joint statement issued Sunday by the Vatican and the chancellor’s office said that both the pope and Mrs. Merkel referred to Benedict’s Jan. 28 remarks condemning Holocaust denial and expressing solidarity with Jews.

It really is quite extraordinary the power being wielded around and the degree to which the PTB's will go to stifle any open discussion on these issues. I haven't read enough about the Jewish holocaust to have an informed opinion on what this Bishop is saying. Like most people, I imagine, I just accepted the 6 million figure as 'the truth'. I know there are those that question the numbers and that they appear to have been exaggerated for nefarious purposes.

Good to see you throwing in a post NJT. smiling I have been busy with work lately and have not had a lot of time for blogging.

MY question is,

who , in their right mind, would ever want to stay a Catholic? It's quite disgusting and abominable.

I know this from experience.

No bigotry involved at all. I promise.

Thank you guys,

for never throwing me out.

I truly appreciate that I have a home here.

Thank you so much.

Glad to see you have made it

Glad to see you have made it your home and have an account now.

Why would we throw you out?? Now who's being silly... wink smiling

It is my belief that knowledge is power and you have to be willing to expand your boundaries and be really open to all kinds of information and differing points of view if you are going to have any chance of getting any of that power. That is not to say you should not use reason to assess the information you gather. Being in this community, reading the excellent comments from other posters and having access to the writings of bloggers such as WP, Chris Floyd and Arthur Silber has truly been a gift in my quest for knowledge. For me, it is a small miracle which I imagine is being replicated many times, in many languages all across these inter tubes. smiling

Dear McJ,

Apparently, I am quite the dumbass.

It has recently come to my attention, certain aspects of Winter Patriot's blog that I hadn't quite realized before.

I once was blind, but now I see.

The Forum

WP is quite the collector of good information.

Also note that Littlehorn and myself have added a fair number of documents to the middle east forum at link. http://www.winterpatriot.com/forum

It just occurred to me

It just occurred to me that a nice anagram for Senator Reid is Dire Treason.

Gosh I love that.

I really do.

Of course, it also makes me nauseous and a wee bit dizzy.

John Mearsheimer on Al Jazeera's Inside Story

Aljazeera's 'Inside Story' interviews Zalman Shoval (Lukid party), Zeev Bielski (Kadima party) and John Mearsheimer (author of "The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy) regarding the results of the recent Israeli elections.

Many good points by Mearsheimer in this two part interview. He keeps hammering home that it doesn't make any difference who forms the Israeli government the US government/president will acquiesce to whatever Israel wants because of the power of Israeli lobby. And the host (don't know her name) is an actual journalist! She controls the interview and doesn't allow either of the Israeli's to get away with their bullshit talking points. Unfortunately, Mearsheimer doesn't go as far as to say the US government is in lockstep with Israeli policy because they want to be (maybe he doesn't believe that) but overall a good interview I think. Pity North American audiences don't get this quality of news. sad
