"The Great American Bubble Machine" by Matt Taibbi is in the July 2009 edition of Rolling Stone magazine. Well worth the read as Taibbi explores Goldman Sach's involvement in creating 'bubbles' to bilk the people of their money...from the Great Drepression, to the dotcom bubble, to the housing and mortgage fiasco and the summer of 2008 huge spike in oil prices.

The next bubble to be inflated is carbon credits which will be put in place by Obama's Cap and Trade legislation. Obama estimates $648 billion will be traded in the first seven years. Goldman Sachs is salivating over this bill that has now passed the house and been sent to the senate - vultures circling the carcass of a dying American empire.
