Sen. Lindsey Graham agreed with CNN's Dana Bash when she asked if Trump's call for repealing Obamacare was a winning issue for Republicans. I hate to break it to him, but taking health insurance away from millions of Americans isn't any more popular now than it was back when Mitt Romney was lying about whether their plans would hurt the poor, or when Trump was pushing the same policies while he was still in office.

BASH: Let's talk about the 2024 campaign trail.

GRAHAM: Yes.

BASH: Donald Trump called Obamacare a disaster last night in Iowa after reiterating his calls to repeal it. You, of course, voted to repeal Obamacare when Trump was president.

Do you think that this is a winning issue right now? Would you like to see another vote again if Trump is elected?

GRAHAM: Yes. Yes, I -- here's what -- good question. This is what we tried to do when Trump was president.

Donald J. Trump was groomed for the spotlight since he was a teenager. Fred was happy to prop him up as the face of his company. But Barron Trump has been kept shielded in secrecy, and rightfully so. We've seen what Donald's parenting did to his older sons, and Barron is probably a pretty cool kid, considering the hand he's been dealt in life.

On Moms for America, not to be confused with Moms For Threeways, Trump was asked about his relationship with his 17-year-old son. It got a bit awkward. Trump doesn't know his son very well. If he wants to know Don Jr., all he has to do is look in the mirror. But this is a different story.

"He's a tall guy, very tall. 6'8," Trump said. "He's a great young man. Very good student. I think he's doing a good job - Barron. I think he's doing a very good job."

Trump is talking about his son. I don't have children, but I know my cat more than Lumpy knows Barron. And this comes from the family values party. A few years ago, Trump referred to Barron as "Melania's son," and his supporters didn't bat an eye.

Former RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said he is ready to throw his support behind Donald Trump for president even if he is convicted of any of the 91 felony charges he is facing.

During a Sunday panel discussion, ABC host George Stephanopoulos seemed surprised at Priebus' willingness to support Trump despite his criminal problems.

"And you're totally comfortable going into the election with a candidate who's been accused of 91 felonies?" Stephanopoulos said.

"Um," an off-guard Priebus replied, "I'm comfortable if that's what the Republican party wants to move forward with, sure, 110%."

"I would take Donald Trump over Joe Biden every single day of the week, no problem," he continued. "Because where this country has gone and how far we've gone downhill in the last three years is a place that most Republicans aren't willing to go."

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile tried to push back.

"You know, I recognize that Joe Biden may not be might not be your cup of tea or even your bowl of soup," she told Priebus. "But you know what he is? He's somebody who's steady, somebody who understands the issues, and somebody who's fighting for America."

Stephanopoulos cut Brazile off before she could finish.

"I'm afraid that's all we have time for today," he said.

Maybe Matt Gaetz should have thought about this before he orchestrated Kevin McCarthy's ouster as Speaker. Matt Gaetz made an appearance on Charlie Kirk's show this Friday and whined that booting George Santos out of the House could possibly cost them their majority:

GAETZ: Our willingness to self-mutilate on these things really impairs our ability to get the job done. So, let's do the math here Charlie. We have a four vote majority, right? Now we've kicked out George Santos. We have a three vote majority.

Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio has taken a college university presidency. That could knock us down to two, and I don't really think Kevin McCarthy is sticking around long. Every image of his office shows that he's packing things up in boxes, so we could be down to a one seat majority.

And we've got a bunch of these octogenarians in our conference, if God forbid any of them were to cross the rainbow bridge, we would be in a situation where we could literally lose the majority because we were so eager to throw George Santos out before even being convicted.

It is not in accordance with precedent. It is not in accordance with due process, and it is just tactically freaking stupid.

Yeah, that would be a real shame Matt. No one ever said self-awareness was his strong point.

Literally in the same breath. And this is the guy that wants to make Biden's age an issue. Here's Trump during a campaign rally in Iowa this Saturday, doing some really weird revisionist history on John McCain's famous thumbs down vote on repealing the ACA.

TRUMP: We're also going to fight to give much better health care than what you have right now. You know, this is a newer subject, but Obamacare is a disaster. And I said we’re going to we’re going to do something about it. I saved Obamacare when we got John McCain’s negative vote. You know, he voted against it after campaigning for many, many years. He said, "Uh thumbs down."

Maybe he'll let us know what his plans are to "save" it in two weeks.

Trump "saved Obamacare" by gutting funding for risk mitigation which would have kept premiums and deductibles low. Oh, he also "saved Obamacare" by authorizing short term junk insurance plans for the whole year, which meant more healthy people opting out of actual insurance.

As many rightfully noted on the social media site formerly known as Twitter, Trump was not the one who "saved Obamacare."

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) worried on Sunday that one or two moderate Republicans could derail his entire effort to impeach President Joe Biden.

During an interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Comer if Republicans could pass an authorization for an impeachment inquiry after losing former Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

"Do you feel that you have the votes within the House right now to get a formal impeachment inquiry?" she wondered.

"I do," he replied. "A great thing happened during Thanksgiving. The members went home, many of them for the first time, and circulated for the first time in over ten weeks. And they met people in Walmart and people on Main Street."

Comer suggested Republicans were more ready than ever to impeach Biden.

"So I'm confident we're going to have the votes to move forward with this impeachment inquiry," he said.

"And you've got to have a near majority," Bartiromo noted. "The majority is so slim, even less now with George Santos being expelled this week, right?"

"Yeah, it's tough," Comer agreed. "I think we could lose one or two members. I mean, Ken Buck, he votes no on everything. He's certainly doing everything he can to try out to be the next anchor for MSNBC."

"At the end of the day, I think our members realize that this is of the utmost importance," he insisted.

Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis on Sunday refused to condemn Donald Trump for using the term "vermin" to describe his political opponents.

"Mr. Trump is campaigning on the idea of retribution," NBC host Kristen Welker told DeSantis in an interview. "He's promising to jail his political enemies if he's reelected."

"He's also referred to some of his political opponents as vermin, language that people, frankly, across the political spectrum, say harkens back to Nazi Germany," she continued. "Do you think that kind of language is presidential?"

"Well, I think even beyond that, the issue is, is why are you running?" DeSantis dodged. "Are you running for your personal issues? Are you running for the American people's issues?"

Welker pressed: "But let me ask you about my original question, the use of the word vermin. Are you comfortable with that term? But are you comfortable with that term, Governor?"

"Let me just say on the DOJ, well, first of all, I'm responsible for what I say, and I say things differently," DeSantis replied.

"Are you comfortable with that term?" the host asked again. "Let's just on my question though, Governor."

"Excuse me!" DeSantis exclaimed. "What I'm not comfortable with is FBI agents going after parents going to school board meetings. I'm not comfortable with DOJ, FBI working with tech companies to censor dissent."

Welker asked the candidate to condemn the use of the word "vermin." But he refused.

Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy on Sunday called for an "honest conversation" about how Democrats should be considered "communists and fascists."

During a discussion about Donald Trump's campaign stops in Iowa, Campos-Duffy praised Trump for attacking Democrats.

"As the Democrats have sort of removed the mask of who they are — and we've seen it on display in many ways, especially over the last couple months through these protests — I love that he is just naming it out, calling them communists and fascists," she said. "Let's just have a really blunt, honest conversation about what are the choices in this election."

"I like the phrase, the destroyers of democracy," co-host Will Cain added. "Now, listen, I don't know if it's a matter of human nature, but I definitely know it's a matter of political strategy, that the left has engaged successfully for a good half a decade now of accusing their opponents of the sins which they are committing."

"What they have done is demonize others for the things that they are secretly doing," he added. "And it's been revealed to itself as well through this lens of, you're a threat to democracy."
