Oscars “Fix” Racism Issue and Award al-Qaeda’s “White Helmets” a Statue for Their Terrorism

Mon, 02/27/2017 - 09:16

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: Read Moon of Alabama’s take on the subject

Last year the Oscars were accused of racism. It wasn’t really fair because Hollywood has always been racist, last year was just highlighted because the divide and conquer effort across the country was fixated on race-baiting and the Oscars failed to nominate anyone of color for an award of substance.

In 2016, the Twitter hashtag #OscarsSoWhite popped up and folks like Dustin Hoffman made a point to let everyone know he was boycotting the ceremony. When was the last time Dustin was relevant at the Oscars? Anyone remember? He joined Chris Rock saying Hollywood is racist and always has been.

Well this year they fixed that. Kind of. Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about it in his opening monologue saying something like “Thank God for Trump because now the Oscars look less racist” or something like that. It went over like a lead balloon as you can probably imagine.

Moonlight, a movie about being a gay black man in the rough neighborhoods of Miami, came out of nowhere and won Best Picture beating out favorites Manchester By The Sea and La La Land. This year a number of black-themed films were released which were worthy of awards: Moonlight, Fences and Hidden Figures come to mind right off the bat.

But Moonlight was a big surprise taking the big prize at the Oscars. So much so, they weren’t announced as the winner on stage. That honor went to La La Land and those guys got up on stage and spoke for a couple minutes before the “mistake” was noticed and the Moonlight cast and crew were called up to get their second-hand trophy.

La La Land won:

  • Best Director
  • Best Actress
  • Best Original Music Score
  • Best Cinematography
  • Best Production Design

Moonlight won:

  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role
  • Best Writing Adopted Screenplay

And of course.. Best Picture.

All I can say is that must have been one hell of a performance in a supporting role.

Both Best Supporting actor awards went to black actors as well. I have yet too see Fences or Moonlight so I cannot comment on their performances anymore than it seems like the Academy Awards seems to have “fixed” their little racism PR issue this year.

On another Oscar-related note, this year they decided to give an award for Best Documentary Short Subject to al-Qaeda’s PR team known as the White Helmets.

That’s a hell of a turn around, isn’t it? Talk about redemption. al-Qaeda goes from enemy of the free world and magical destroyer of 3 sky-scrappers with 2 planes in 2001 to winner of an Academy Award in 2017. I’m sorry, but that even beats the racism retooling switch we saw at the Oscars this year. That’s rebranding if I ever saw it.

Of course, it didn’t go without notice or comment on Twitter.

Deplorable Washington Post Letters

Mon, 02/27/2017 - 07:29

by David Martin, DC Dave

It has been very hard not to notice that the press coverage of Donald Trump, from the beginning of his candidacy right up to the present moment has been nothing short of malicious. One would have thought that out of respect for the presidency and for our democratic system the constant drip of vitriol would have lessened at least a little bit after his resounding electoral victory in November, but, at least at The Washington Post, the toxic stream has grown even larger, and I really didn’t think that that was possible.

The Post didn’t accept his candidacy, and then they didn’t accept his election. As I wrote back on December 8, 2016, before the electoral college had gone through what has always been a formality, the certifying of the victory of the electoral vote winner, The Post gathered three letters that collectively painted the president-elect as Hitler reincarnated, gave them the heading on their editorial page, “The new breed of dangerous know-nothings,” and had a columnist join them in calling for electoral nullification.

But like an increasing number of their readers and other Americans, the electoral college paid The Post no mind, proceeded to do its job in an almost routine fashion and went ahead and certified Trump’s victory without incident…

US Military Megacity Pacification and Assault Planning Videos (for educational purposes of course)

Fri, 02/24/2017 - 09:48

by Scott Creighton

We’ve all seen the Megacity prediction video put together by the Special Forces war college that the Intercept received via a FOIA request last year. It’s a gloomy, depressing view of the dystopia they predict will be the future of human development by 2030. It deals with a rather unique and relatively new problem of maintaining order in the megacities that are developing across the globe in mostly Westernized nations.

As the slaughter continues in Mosul, the 2nd largest city in Iraq, military planners are getting a chance to try out some of their new theories since it’s the rebellious population that is the target there, not the CIA’s construct known as “ISIS”

But what they call “megacities” are different and thus the combat is different.

Megacities have been attacked before. We destroyed Dresden to make a point as we did Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In Japan we used fire bombs on wooden cities, 60 of them in 30 days just prior to dropping two atomic weapons so we could garner real world experience with their effect.

That’s how we used to pacify megacities. But that model wont work anymore, nor will the shock and awe technique used in March of 2003 in Baghdad. Mostly because the megacities they envision they will HAVE to pacify in the future… are our own.

Not only do they house, will they house, citizens of the countries which unleash the military forces against them, but they also house the critical business infrastructure that helps keeps Wall Street and London thriving while the vast majority of those inhabitants of the targeted cities struggle and scrape for just enough sustenance to survive on a day to day basis. All of that surrounded by 10 million non-combatant potential collateral damage PR nightmares.

Now you start to see the problem for military planners. Not only are they planning on the wholesale violation of the US constitution by literally drawing up plans to use the military on US soil against US citizens… but they don’t wish to fuck up too much of Big Business’ profit centers while doing it.

Sec. 15. From and after the passage of this act it shall not be lawful to employ any part of the Army of the United States, as a posse comitatus, or otherwise, for the purpose of executing the laws, except in such cases and under such circumstances as such employment of said force may be expressly authorized by the Constitution or by act of Congress ; and no money appropriated by this act shall be used to pay any of the expenses incurred in the employment of any troops in violation of this section and any person willfully violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction thereof shall be punished by fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars or imprisonment not exceeding two years or by both such fine and imprisonment[6]

There is no option in their minds. The world will be populated by millions upon millions of desperate, angry, jobless, hopeless civilians who pose a great threat to the established system, a system they fully expect to create mass poverty and inequity in Westernized countries across the world, including right here in the states. It never dawns on them that a different, more equitable system may come into being, a rising tide that lifts all boats, not just those owned by the megawealthy and those privileged enough to serve their interests at the expense of everyone else.

That thought.. never.. even.. crosses.. their.. minds.

What they also never say in these discussion videos I am posting below for the sake of your understanding the level of depravity of these people, is that the people they envision targeting mostly feel the same way THE MAJORITY of us feel today: that the system is rigged against us and it’s time for a change. Whether they are classified as “criminal gangs” or “narcoterrorists” or “insurgents” or “ISIS” in the future doesn’t matter, the core of their grief is the same and it is completely legitimate. Or it will be.

That never even crosses these guys’ minds in these videos. Not the ones I have viewed thus far anyway.

In the videos you will see them using slides which depict such future battlegrounds for the US military being cities like L.A. for instance. Atlanta. New York.

Let that sink in for a minute. The US military’s own planners sitting around on the company dime, your tax dollars, figuring out tactics, battle plans and other means of modern day warfare in US cities targeting US civilians.

And this, to them, is an unavoidable future.

The videos are in depth discussions that took place here in the US last year at the “Frameworks for Future Challenges: Understanding Dense Urban Areas” during the 2016 Megacity Mad Scientist Conference from Arizona State University April 21-22, 2016.

I am not editing them and there are more from this collection which was posted by these guys on a US Army TRADOC Youtube page.

MegaCity Army Panel

MegaCity: Frameworks for Future Challenges: Understanding Dense Urban Areas

MegaCity: Megacities: The Good; The Bad and the Ugly

Everyone of these attendees is already in violation of posse comitatus as are their commanding officers who sent them there. If you read the quote above you will notice, not only is the implementation of the use of our military against us a crime, but also, the planning of such actions if one red cent of taxpayer money is spent on it. Thus they are all in violation of standing US law and should each be demoted and arrested as such.

But they wont be.

This is just a brief sampling of the videos they posted from this conference and anther that took place at the CIA’s university, Georgetown. It’s fascinating to watch these guys and how their minds work. Keep in mind, the battles for megacities in the future which these men and women are actively planning for, will not be against states declared enemies of our nation. They are by the very nature of these talks, cities of ours, those of our allies, which have been lost to the chaos of neoliberal globalization and the enemies are our own citizens, our neighbors, our brothers.

Urban pacification of dissent on a massive scale so large that even the overly militarized police forces cant contain the anger. That is what they fully expect in a future close enough that you and I will see it with our own eyes.

And of course, to these people, the only solution is not one of fixing the social condition problem that will inevitably breed this kind of dystopean future, but instead, it’s one of military might and planning to crush it with as little collateral damage as possible.

If the only tool you understand is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Constructive Destruction: Are We Looking at a Color Revolution Here in the Shining City on the Hill?

Fri, 02/24/2017 - 08:04

by Scott Creighton

Last week Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said it “looks like” another Iranian Green Revolution is taking shape right here in the States. He said everything looks like what happened back then in 2009 when Hillary Clinton tried to get a US puppet, Mir Hossein Mousavi, elected in the Iranian presidential election but he lost by a landslide so she tried a color revolution instead. Mr. Dorsey seems to think the social media trolls are at it again, though he doesn’t actually call them trolls or mention the fact that Iran was a color revolution.

It’s still a good question, isn’t it?

Are we looking at the birth of a color revolution here in the States?

I think it is safe too say a number of the masters of the universe were displeased with the outcome of this past year’s presidential election. Not all of them perhaps and some have certainly taken a more “wait and see” approach since The Donald seems to be cowing in the face of pressure being applied to him and his administration, that goes without saying.

But there are factions that want him, Bannon, sleepy-eyed Jane and Miller out of the Oval Office in the worst of ways and they seem to be pretty dedicated to that end result in spite of the fact that Trump is becoming more bullish on Russia, toeing the line on Iran and bombing places like Yemen, Iraq and Syria with impunity like his “progressive” predecessor did. He’s written and signed executive orders that give Big Banking all the perks they want and all the leeway to set up the next financial crisis they need to completely crush the economy at will and his picks for the various agencies all have one thing in common: they want to see the agencies they head destroyed as soon as possible.

So Trump is giving them everything they want, so far he’s a perfect pick for our next pragmatic dictator in chief… and yet some still seem to want his head on a platter. Why is that?

It could be they don’t trust Trump to stay the course when things get bad and his base turns on him, which is a key qualifier for such work. Nixon strayed from the path so they fixed that and of course, JFK took a decidedly populist/progressive turn away from the profitable Cold War and the CIA so they had to “fix” his administration as well. They set Reagan’s mind right 60 days into his presidency and let Bush 41 run the show from there on out.

Perhaps they are concerned his heart isn’t in the right place and that maybe he worries too much about his “brand” to do what they figure needs to be done in the coming months.

Or maybe this is all just a not-so-subtle warning from the servants of the masters of the universe striking out on their own.

I don’t know. Is this a color revolution taking shape? Did the populist undercurrent of this past election coming from both sides of the fake political divide put the fear of democracy in them? Did we really “vote the wrong way” or was Trump the Manchurian Candidate all along?

Was this past election like what I suggested a year ago… a designed catastrophe meant to usher in a new age of unelected technocrat board members to rule over us all? Is this part of the constructive destruction of the tattered paper-thin veil of democracy here in the Shining City on the Hill?

I don’t know. It certainly smells like a color revolution at this point, doesn’t it? What do you think?

How Democrats Are Already Planning To Lose In 2018 (Jimmy kinda gets it… almost)

Thu, 02/23/2017 - 09:35

by Scott Creighton

Jimmy kinda misses the point here. The rise in populist and nationalist sentiment had to be countered immediately so they flipped the switches and stuck as many reactionary neoliberals in place as they could so they can squeeze as much out of the system as possible before it all comes crashing down. It’s not a failure of the fake left to listen to the working man as much as it was them taking a dive so the rethuglicans could screw them without constraint.

Yes, the unDemocratic Party of America is nothing more than an offshoot of the far-right reactionary Republican Party of the neocons.

And yes, they would MUCH RATHER see Donald Trump in the White House than even a pretend socialist like Bernie Sanders.

But what Jimmy fails to understand is that this historic loss on the part of the unDemocratic Party since 2008 isn’t as much of a failing of theirs to understand and communicate with the working classes as it is an indictment of the corruption of our entire election system. I hate to be the one to point this out but it’s not just presidential elections that are rigged and TPTB want republican controlled state and local governments as well as both houses of congress so they can enact historically reactionary neoliberal austerity measures on the country under the populist cover of Donald J. Trump.

So of course the DCCC picks the same guy as their new chair because he didn’t do anything wrong. His team was scheduled to take a dive, they got the assist from the electronic voting machine companies and now all across the country the illusion of will from the American people provides them a mandate to neoliberalize us like there is no tomorrow. They had to do that with the rise of anti-establishment candidates. Time is running out. So they flipped the switches, stuck their technocrat Zealots in place and now expect us to focus on 2018 as opposed to the crippling austerity they are shoving down our throats in DC and our local/state legislatures.

Still, it’s a good video from Jimmy even if he doesn’t fully understand whats’ going on.

As Iraqi death Squads and Coalition Forces Advance on Mosul, Uppity Civilians are the Real Targets… not “ISIS™”

Thu, 02/23/2017 - 08:58

by Scott Creighton

Iraqi death squad member. Our partners against “ISIS”

In Iraq, there is a popular revolt taking place against the neoliberal puppet regime we installed after we illegally invaded the country and occupied it for over a decade. Led by the General Military Council for Iraqi Revolutionaries, the popular insurgency started in earnest once the US had to pull out the majority of their forces per an agreement signed back in the Bush administration days. The large Sunni population of the country had no representation in the government in Baghdad and they were sick of being imprisoned and abused by our previous puppet dictator, al-Maliki so they took advantage of the power vacuum created by our exodus and rose up against him.

Then President Barack Obama faced a dilemma. He had campaigned on Iraq being “the wrong war” and a promise to end our military involvement in the country. A promise he reluctantly had to keep when al-Maliki refused to sign a new agreement allowing the US to keep troops in the country past the deadline agreed to by Obama’s predecessor. So his problem lay in the fact that Malaki’s refusal to allow troops to stay meant there was a good possibility that the new insurgency would unseat our puppet and forces once alligned to Saddam Hussain and the Baath Party would take control of the country, thus reversing all the gains our “national interests” were enjoying since the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq began back in March of 2003.

Obama and the fake left war-mongers understood that they could never sell him going back into Iraq to stamp out a legitimate uprising of Iraqi Sunnis to his fake progressive base. So they came up with a manufactured enemy in Iraq they called “ISIS”. They made ridiculous videos, staged false flags across Europe and the States in order to turn the public against the new evil enemy and they did all this so they could reengage in Iraq in a civil war on the side of our puppet regime.

The people of this country would never have supported sending our troops back to Iraq to battle civilians rising up against our installed proxy government in Iraq but they would support attacking the fictitious “ISIS” with their fake execution videos and their endless supply of British “Islamists” who always turn out to be bad actors with silly-looking stage props.

“ISIS” was and is a “hearts and minds” program designed to promote a military campaign inside a country in support of one of our “friendly” regimes. It is the stock and trade of Special Operations these days and along with Israeli contractors like SITE or MEMRI, the videos did their work and the vast majority of people in this country honestly have no idea who and what we are fighting in Iraq.

Unfortunately, every now and again a little glimpse of reality seeps in and we can see the true face of what we and our puppet Iraqi regime consider “the enemy”. And it’s the Iraqi citizen… not “ISIS”

“… Aside from the military difficulties, retaking eastern Mosul has also cost civilian lives. Gruesome reports have come in from several villages outside the city, where Iraqi forces, particularly police units, have allegedly executed, tortured, and abused people accused of siding with IS militants.

Throughout the past months, rights groups have documented a number of instances when bodies of unarmed civilians, often bearing signs of torture or mistreatment, were found in villages and towns around Mosul. In a recent comment to RT, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said the conduct of Iraqi forces in the battle of Mosul may amount to war crimes.

“Our research demonstrates that Iraqi armed forces that are fighting ISIS to retake a couple of villages and a small town near Mosul – they looted, damaged and destroyed homes. And that was apparently with no military necessity for those demolitions, HRW’s communications and advocacy director for Middle East & North Africa, Ahmed Benchemsi, told RT.

[That] means that these acts amount to war crimes,” he added, commenting on allegations that the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were carrying out unnecessary demolitions of buildings in the village of Ashwa outside Mosul. While the PMF said the measure was taken to clear the area from mines and booby-traps planted by IS, HRW stated that “the whole area inside was well enough protected that there would have been no military need for PMF forces to demolish the homes.”

As the operation to retake western Mosul is in full swing, humanitarian agencies fear that hundreds of thousands of civilians might face dangers similar to those weathered by the residents of the city’s eastern half.” RT

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are death squads. There’s nothing outrageous about that statement. They are known to be death squads throughout Iraq.

“The Iraqi House of Representatives last week approved an Act legitimizing the so-called Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the pro-Iranian militias accused of acts of barbarism and brutality in Fallujah, Ramadi and Mosul. The Act was opposed by Sunnis in the parliament but pushed through by a Shia majority. The new law recognizes the PMF as a legitimate military force in Iraq and some Shia Iraqi MPs are now even calling for further legislation to absolve PMF fighters from any accusations of crimes against humanity.” Daily Caller, Dec. 2, 2016

What is happening in Iraq is the continuation of the Salvador Option that started under the Bush administration and then continued under President Peace Prize’s left cover. It’s now quietly being expanded upon by The Donald while everyone pays attention to ObamaCare distractions or talk of his sending illegal immigrants out of the country. It’s a slaughter and The Donald is providing the same air cover for death squads and ethnic cleansing that Obama provided. Again, that is not a controversial statement as that link is to a Foreign Policy magazine story from 2015.

I wonder how many people this animal has raped and murdered in Iraq under the protection of the US government

It’s true, this is not a unique situation, having our soldiers defend monsters committing unspeakable acts in furtherance of our “national interests”. Not in Iraq. Not in Vietnam. Not in Bosnia or Libya or any number of African countries where entire villages were ethnically cleansed in the name of progress by some US-backed drug-dealing thug dictator wearing a cowboy hat given to him by a seated US president. It’s a horrible fact of life for some soldiers, these deep state truths they have to live with for the rest of their lives.

But don’t think it’s over just because The Donald came to office and because no one else is talking/writing about it.

The body count in Iraq didn’t stop when President Peace Prize took office and it hasn’t stopped since he left. The battle for Mosul, a battle being waged against a rebellious civilian population (not “ISIS”) is about to add a bunch of numbers to that horrible living legacy we call the Iraq War and nobody is talking about it. Like it’s not even happening.

But it is happening. We are currently shock and aweing the people of Iraq into submission once again and unfortunately this time, there are no protesters on the streets demanding we stop. Of course, if there were, they’d just make a couple more fake beheading videos with their bad British actors playing the role of “da ebil boogeyman” and all would be forgiven.

What’s happening in Iraq is another Phoenix Operation. The civilian population is being pacified by brutal force and the armed resistance is being crushed into submission. We will probably never know the full extent of civilian casualties in Iraq these past few years nor will we get a clear picture of what is about to happen in Mosul. But it is not “ISIS™” that we fight over there. They are a construct of military public relations and nothing else. And if that is true, what follows is the obvious question: then who exactly are we killing in Iraq? And the answer, unfortunately, is the same as it ever was.

Standing Rock Forced Evacuation Videos

Wed, 02/22/2017 - 17:04

by Scott Creighton

See updates and videos after break. Spoiler… it was a whole lot of nothing.

UPDATE: The cops moved in. About 20 of em. I’ve seen bigger bar fights. All the “revolutionary” bloggers still standing on the street started yelling about “1984” but when the cops moved in, the brave brave bloggers turned and ran. I heard one of them hiding behind a truck call the cops “coward ass pieces of shit”

UPDATE 2: I looks like the Native Americans are leaving in the backs of pickup trucks and the only ones on the street are bloggers.

UPDATE 3: Every time the cops move forward 10 feet or so, the crowd panics and runs down the street.

UPDATE 4: The DAHBOO  guy keeps saying this is the “frontline of the standoff”… What standoff? They are running away. “You’re not going to catch this on the evening news”… what? Them running away like little bitches?

UPDATE 5: Still standing there. 20 cops verses some wannabe bloggers with Iphones and a Facebook page.

UPDATE 6: Anyone know what happened to all those vets who made a big deal about going up there to stand with the Sioux back when Obama was still the president? I don’t see those guys.

UPDATE 7: And now the cops are moving back down the street. I guess they figure the bloggers will be gone once their batteries run out. And that looks like that. Cops arrested a couple folks and the bloggers ran screaming like frightened children.

Today is the deadline for Water Protectors to leave the Oceti Sakowin camp, near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Trump is determined to let the pipeline run and protesters are being forced out of the way. Looks kinda like a war zone up there.

They are burning their own structures for some reason.

DAHBOO is streaming live. Not much happening at this time.

Daddy’s Little Globalist Girl, Mika Brzezinski, Says it’s Media’s Job to “CONTROL Exactly What People Think”

Wed, 02/22/2017 - 15:23

by Scott Creighton

Mika’s daddy (guy who created al Qaeda by the way)

So the other day on Morning Joe, Tom Brokaw let slip a story about how he sucked up to Nancy Reagan as an example of how “journalists” do their jobs these days and this morning, Mika Brzezinski was complaining about how Trump is “undermining American democracy” by casting aspersions on the media, saying they are all liars. Which they are. Sycophantic liars, if the Brokaw story is any indication.

“The dangerous edges here are he’s trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsen, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can control exactly what people think and that is… that is our job” Mika Brzezinski

As you can see, that’s a pretty close approximation of what Mika’s globalist father said the role of the press. I wonder just who this is “dangerous” for? Us? I don’t think so. People like Mika and Joe S. and that little cabal of globalist apologists they surround themselves with every weekday don’t give a flying f_ck about what’s dangerous for us average Joes out here trying to scrape by in this world made by the likes of her Daddy Warbucks.

I guess her message is, even if we don’t believe the BS that comes out of the mouth of Trump, he’s laying one big turd in the punch-bowl by undermining their control over what we think by exposing the lies of the MSM and people like her.

Remember, Mika was raised by a man who wrote in 1970 “People, governments and economies of all nations must serve the needs of multinational banks and corporations” Z. Brzezinski wrote that in his book “Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era

@MSNBC anchor @morningmika lets the cat out of the bag:

Its our job to control what people think. pic.twitter.com/BVxYYT5u77

Between Brokaw and Morning Mika, the mask is slipping off inch by inch, isn’t it?

Maryland Court Rules Citizens Have No Right to Own “Weapons of War” – Let the Gun-grabbing Commence

Wed, 02/22/2017 - 09:29

by Scott Creighton

When the elections of 2016 kicked into high gear, suddenly and without explanation, all the motiveless mass casualty events that marked the middle years of Obama’s rule stopped abruptly as if the crazies didn’t want their gun-grabbing manufactured “crisis” to interfere with Killary’s coronation. The crisis actors went back to their day jobs and for a brief moment in recent history, we didn’t have to deal with stories of multiple military-styled assailants becoming one dead “shooter” with no military experience, no motive to speak of and an off-the-charts kill/shots fired ratio that defied belief.

And that’s a good thing except now we get to deal with the aftermath. For example, the Pulse Nightclub shooting was the final act in what I have called the American Gladio campaign. Families of the victims of the Pulse event are taking action this week in opposition to proposed new gun laws here in Florida. The new  law they are opposed to would allow citizens to carry weapons into certain areas which they could then use to defend themselves against… say… hired mercs brought in to destabilize the country by shooting up… say… Orlando nightclubs for instance.

In Maryland a federal appeals court ruled in a majority decision that the 2nd Amendment does not extend to citizens the right to own what they call “weapons of war” meaning “assault-type” rifles and large capacity magazines. They say nothing about the police in that great state being constantly armed with surplus “weapons of war” that they can and will use against the very citizens they intend to disarm.

“A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that a Maryland ban on assault-style rifles and large-capacity magazines isn’t subject to the Constitution’s right to keep and bear arms.

The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit in Richmond, Virginia, reconsidered a divided ruling issued last year that found citizens have a “fundamental right” to own these weapons, and that laws restricting the right deserve the toughest level of constitutional scrutiny.

Writing for a nine-judge majority, U.S. Circuit Judge Robert King said that weapons such as M-16s and the kind that “are most useful in military service” aren’t protected by the Second Amendment as interpreted by the Supreme Court in the landmark District of Columbia v. Heller decision. That ruling limited the right to ownership of handguns for self-defense within the home.

“Put simply,” King wrote, “we have no power to extend Second Amendment protection to the weapons of war that the Heller decision explicitly excluded from such coverage.” Cristian Farias

Is it just me or do both of these two examples seem to be focused on making sure the average citizen in this country cant’ defend themselves from various actors at any given time? Curious, right? Especially when you consider there was another attempt at a mass casualty event that took place the night before the Pulse shooting in Orlando but in that case the “victims to be” piled on the assailant and took him down before more civilians were shot. And it was also at a nightclub. But of course, we forget all about that one because Pulse happened the very next day. Curious, right?

Anyway, if you read the decision by Judge King writing for the majority in his decision, you get the jist of the American Gladio campaign… in fact, you can’t miss it because he recalls a good part of the mass casualty events in the first three paragraphs of his decision…

“On the morning of December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, a gunman used an AR-15-type Bushmaster rifle and detachable thirty-round magazines to murder twenty first-graders and six adults in the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Two additional adults were injured by gunfire, and just twelve children in the two targeted classrooms were not shot. Nine terrified children ran from one of the classrooms when the gunman paused to reload, while two youngsters successfully hid in a restroom. Another child was the other classroom’s sole survivor. In all, the gunman fired at least 155 rounds of ammunition within five minutes, shooting each of his victims multiple times.

Both before and after Newtown, similar military-style rifles and detachable magazines have been used to perpetrate mass shootings in places whose names have become synonymous with the slaughters that occurred there — like Aurora, Colorado (twelve killed and at least fifty-eight wounded in July 2012 in a movie theater), and San Bernardino, California (fourteen killed and more than twenty wounded in December 2015 at a holiday party). In the early morning hours of June 12, 2016, a gunman killed forty-nine and injured fifty-three at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, making it the site of this country’s deadliest mass shooting yet.

According to news reports, the Orlando gunman used a Sig Sauer MCX, a semiautomatic rifle that was developed at the request of our Army’s special forces and is known in some military circles as the “Black Mamba.” Other massacres have been carried out with handguns equipped with magazines holding more than ten rounds, including those at Virginia Tech (thirty-two killed and at least seventeen wounded in April 2007) and Fort Hood, Texas (thirteen killed and more than thirty wounded in November 2009), as well as in Binghamton, New York (thirteen killed and four wounded in April 2009 at an immigration center), and Tucson, Arizona (six killed and thirteen wounded in January 2011 at a congresswoman’s constituent meeting in a grocery store parking lot).” Judge King

Draped in the statistics of the mass casualty events and wearing the names of the victims like a cloak of armor, Judge King ruled that citizens don’t have the right to own and keep “assault-type” weapons because they are not intended to be protected by the 2nd Amendment.

“As explained below, we are satisfied to affirm the district court’s judgment, in large part adopting the Opinion’s cogent reasoning as to why the FSA contravenes neither the Second Amendment nor the Fourteenth. We diverge from the district court on one notable point: We conclude — contrary to the now- vacated decision of our prior panel — that the banned assault weapons and large-capacity magazines are not protected by the Second Amendment.” Judge King

Judge King made no mention of this:

Or this:

Or this:

The ongoing rush to militarize our police departments is not a conspiracy theory nor is it an exaggeration. From the local police departments to their tactical teams to the nation’s “homeland security” details, this country is being militarized like any city in Afghanistan or Iraq has been over the last few years.

When you consider the fact that violent crime is down over the past decade, it kinda makes you wonder why all the hardware and jar-heads to use these weapons of war in our cities? And why the simultaneous push to disarm the civilian population.

Well, the “why?” of it all isn’t really that big of a secret, now is it?

“The video is nothing if not an instant dystopian classic: melancholy music, an ominous voiceover, and cascading images of sprawling slums and urban conflict. “Megacities are complex systems where people and structures are compressed together in ways that defy both our understanding of city planning and military doctrine,” says a disembodied voice. “These are the future breeding grounds, incubators, and launching pads for adversaries and hybrid threats.” The Intercept

The future of America is being defined by the planners at the Pentagon and it looks very similar to certain episodes of our past.

Let’s now, finally, put aside the propaganda that says “no one is coming for your guns” They are. The Maryland ruling makes that perfectly clear.

And don’t pretend The Donald and his SCOTUS pick will save the day. His catch-phrase, “draining the swamp”, is not only hollow seeing as how he is filling his own swamp with insiders and Goldman Sachs stooges, but the phrase itself actually comes DIRECTLY from the video above and it refers to massive urban jungles as the “swamp” and the poor people living in it as what needs to be ‘drained”

The problem with allowing law-abiding middle class citizens to hang onto these weapons is obvious: they might not be middle class in the next couple of years and they might just be a little pissed off about that development.

So yeah, American Gladio was about manufacturing a crisis which could result in the passage of a new interpretation of the law which allows for the government to come along and disarm the people of weapons that could pose a threat to their soldiers they put on the ground right here at home to maintain the order they are currently imposing on us. This ruling makes that perfectly clear. Whether it succeeds or not is a different story.

CIA Freezes Aid To Free Syrian Army

Tue, 02/21/2017 - 14:29

from Sputnik International

As Syrian President Bashar al Assad’s hold on western parts of Syria solidifies, the CIA is lessening its support of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

No military assistance will be delivered to the FSA by the CIA “until matters are organized,” a source on the ground in Syria told Reuters. Specifically, FSA commanders said that the agency could be worried that, with growing jihadist assaults across the region, including the mass execution of up to 200 last week, the CIA is wary of putting cash and weapons into the hands of combatants that could then be given to regional terrorists.

Officials familiar with the CIA-led program said the decision to freeze aid has nothing to do with US President Donald Trump replacing President Barack Obama, even though Trump has indicated skepticism about the nature of US support of rebels in the region, saying that the US should focus efforts on Daesh, not Assad.

The FSA will continue to receive aid, however, from nations that receive weapons from the US and who oppose the Assad administration. While US aid to the FSA has been severed, at least temporarily, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and NATO-member Turkey continue to pour weapons and money into groups aligned with the FSA. In 2015, Qatar, a nation of two million, spent more money on US weapons than any other country, while Saudi Arabia ranked third, behind Egypt, according to the US Congressional Research Service…

Feb. 7th – Those behind recent violence in Ukraine don’t want US-Russian relations to improve – V. Churkin to RT

Mon, 02/20/2017 - 15:02

(And now he’s suddenly dead)

from RT

The political forces that are behind the latest outbreak of violence in eastern Ukraine are seeking to block the path towards improved US-Russian relations the Russian envoy to the UN told RT.

Those, who are provoking those manifestations of violence in the Eastern Ukraine,” are actually aiming at making “sure that there are additional obstacles for the improvement of relations between the US and Russia” because they do not want the relations between the two countries to improve, Russia’s Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin told RT’s Aleksey Yaroshevsky in an interview.

Churkin said the “recent spike of military activity [in the Eastern Ukraine] was initiated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the [so-called] volunteer battalions” that are fighting in the east of the country.

He particularly emphasized that the reports of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine prove that the bulk of the blame lies on Kiev. “If you read the reports of the OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine, … it is obvious that it is the fault of the Ukrainian [government],” Churkin said, referring to the latest escalation of violence in Ukraine…

A Rotting City on the Hill: The State of Politics in America Post Democralypse 2016

Mon, 02/20/2017 - 08:33

by Scott Creighton

  • The most corrupt candidate in modern history ran as “the most qualified”
  • That most “qualified” candidate ran a campaign of derision, hate and fear-mongering because it was literally the only campaign she could run.
  • The most “progressive” candidate who would have beaten the future king was derailed by the “progressive” party so he wouldn’t.
  • The “progressive” candidate was openly supported by the neocons and war-mongers from the ultra-right.
  • The “populist” who won was a spoiled, self-absorbed silver-spooner billionaire who never gave a damn about anything but himself and still doesn’t.
  • The media became nothing more than an outreach program for one of the candidates, constantly spinning lies and exaggerations about the other candidate like it was their job to ensure her coronation… and that’s because it was… and they still failed miserably anyway.
  • A video featuring the word “pussy’, lies about Russian hacking and a candidate who was a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

That was Democralypse 2016 in a nutshell and it was the most offensive display of “democracy” we have ever produced in this country to date. And yet, here we are in the aftermath and it’s only gotten worse.

MSNBC and CNN have continued with their “bash Trump all the time!” operational plan so much so you would think they don’t even have a news division anymore. You can’t find news on those channels these days, just new and or warmed over attempts to bash President Trump all day every day.

The “deep state”, something they used to call me a conspiracy theorist for writing about, is now out of the shadows and doing their level best to undermine the president’s choices (some of them) so they can force him to conduct his foreign policy in a manner THEY deem fit for American “values”. It’s not even a question anymore. The spooks, liars and murderers of the CIA want to run the show and apparently the neocons and the “progressives” are just fine with that.

Amazing populist concern over US deep state influence that hasn't been seen since the 1970s. Positive but it's CIA/contractors not UN etc. pic.twitter.com/ZmeuwOyQTW

— Julian Assange (@JulianAssange) February 17, 2017

Obviously strongly prefer normal democratic and constitutional politics. But if it comes to it, prefer the deep state to the Trump state.

— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) February 14, 2017

It’s remarkable. They got rid of Mike Flynn after he had been tasked to help figure out how to tame the CIA and roll the agency back under the control of the White House. They attacked him for daring to chat with a Russian ambassador about ridiculous sanctions ObamaGod put on them based on their “hacking” our election, a crime which never happened, by the way.

It seems like the only senators we hear about today are Lindsey Graham and John McCain and that’s because they spend all their time running around bashing Trump from the neocon war-mongering right.

And speaking of the neocon war-mongering right, have you seen the left these days? They make McCarthy look like Jimmy Carter.

In the wake of the slaughterfest the fake left endured in November, you have all sorts of wannabe “leaders” popping up all over the place in the unDemocratic Party trying to establish themselves as the default nominee for 2020. One of them is running for Debbie’s old job at the head of the unDemocratic Party table and he’s an interesting one… he backs rethuglican tax-breaks and “centrist” economic ideologies… but he’s called “progressive” because he kinda-sorta hinted that, yes, the unDems did “slightly” rig the nomination process in favor of Killary. Jimmy Dore calls him a “truth teller” for that little tiny, ballless sliver of honesty.

Over at the Young Turks they are trying their best to reclaim the young disenfranchised voters for the unDemocratic Party, looking to hook them back into the fold in spite of the insult and chaos that the party inflicted on em during the nomination process. They call themselves “Justice” Dems or some such nonsense and Cenk himself is looking to sheepdog himself a nice cushy job in D.C.

And there is another ridiculous effort being put out there by some mousy looking guy who was part of Bernie’s Sheepdog 2016 campaign. His particular shtick is to “draft Bernie” for 2020 I guess and model an entire new political party wrapped around him. Of course, by then Bernie will be a thousand years old and little mousy guy will be 30 maybe, so I wonder who that guy thinks will actually be leading the “party” by then.

The Draft Bernie campaign is one of the most pathetic things I have seen this election cycle and trust me, we’ve seen a lot of pathetic things this year. Not only did he lose, but he was cowed after they stole the nomination from him to the point where when he was offered a chance to run at the top of the Green Party ticket, an opportunity that would have produced victory for him, he declined the offer and then backed the woman who stole the nomination from him.

And he got a new summer cottage by the lake out of the deal.

And you want to build a new “progressive” party around that?

The state of politics in this country is in decay. The foundations are so rotted they cant support the illusion of democracy that we have enjoyed for so many years. The establishment republicans secretly hate their party leader while the fake left doesn’t even have one anymore.

They are terrified that something legitimate will surface from the ruins of Democralypse 2016 so much so they will do anything they can to make sure they craft it themselves to be ineffectual, tepid and corrupt at birth.

All of their efforts failed this past year. Bernie was supposed to serve as a kind of bait to keep the real progressives in the Big Tent of the unDemocratic Party but he won instead and so they had to steal the nomination from him and his millions of supporters.

Trump was supposed to be a foil for Bush and/or Clinton, but instead he won the office and no amount of post-election vote rigging could make it unso. The people “voted the wrong way” in spite of all the work the press did demonizing him prior to Nov. 8th and now we have the head terrorists of the world, the CIA, destabilizing our elected government as a result.

I guess in the end you had to expect as much out of this past election cycle. Maybe they are ready to do away with the illusion of democracy altogether and that was the real endgame they envisioned all along. Or maybe they’re just not as clever as they tell themselves they are.

Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure: the blinders are off for most of the people in this country today. We don’t live in a democratic republic anymore. It’s an oligarchy run by the deep state on behalf of vested interests and all of us are just spectators to the horror show that’s about to unfold.
